Toshiba Satellite L645D-S4036 Perfect balance between Portability and Power

Toshiba Satellite L645D-S4036 I looked all over for a replacement to my 13.1 inch Sony Vaio laptop that was about the same size with considerably more power. This is everything i’ve looked for. Much smaller and alot more portable than any 15.6 in. laptop around. The previous reviews detailed all the specs nicely and I concur with all the positives. My webcam worked perfectly out of the box as well.

Great Screen and powerful laptop, this thing is FAST! If there was one thing I could nitpick on is that there isn’t a way to turn off the vertical or horizontal scrolling on the touchpad. But that is a very minor issue that never gets in the way of the Phenomenol deal you are getting for this price.

People will not believe you only paid $500 dollars for what looks and performs like a much more expensive product!!

This Computer has good features like DVD-DL burner, good speakers, but lacks HDMI which this days is very important, the performance from the DDR3 memory and the P820 processor will be noticed instantly, no benchmark needed to see improvement (compared against TL-60 with DDR2 for example), the battery life is not bad, it’s a very efficient setup, the Core i3 or Core i5 will kill this battery much, much faster. Finally the price, I mean, is excellent, but even at this price, I would expect an HDMI output.

I tested this laptop in StarCraft II, and some settings can be pushed out to ULTRA, some HIGH, the video card is one of the IGP I have tested.

Acer Aspire AS5251-1805 Great deal for the money, even if it was more

Acer Aspire AS5251-1805 was a purchase for my parents who really only do internet and email. Even at that, it’s quite a zippy laptop. I was quite skeptical at first given that it was (1) AMD and (2) a single core, but the glowing reviews sold me. this really is a great laptop. Everything sped along quite well and I was impressed. I was afraid it would be a netbook in a big shell but it’s not. It’s way more powerful!

Pros:
- beautiful screen
- sturdy and quality keyboard
- fast processor given its power
- 3GB RAM for the price is much better than what Toshiba and others offer
- minimal bloatware
- price
- has everything you need – HD space, video quality, DVD burning, webcam
- Amazon!

cons:
- didn’t like numeric keys since you have to factor in they are actually there. I do like numeric keys in general but it makes you forget the keys don’t go all the way to the end of the keyboard
- of course i still wish it was dual core, but it’s not that much of a con

That’s pretty much it. Great deal. I’d choose this over some of those T4500 lappies…

HP Pavilion DV6-2162NR 15.6-Inch best cheap notebook

Buy HP Pavilion:I bought this HP for my wife to replace her 3 year old Toshiba. It is 100% her computer but she places everything technical in our lives on me and then holds me accountable for its performance. My wife is brutal on electronics and her laptop is no exception. The Toshiba had a VERY hard life and ticked along perfectly until the past few months. After wasting $200 on a failed repair (hard drive) I decided it was cheaper to replace it than to nurse it along. I initially went shopping for another Toshiba and frankly, I feel like I would be writing a 5 star review for a Toshiba if it had not come down to a $150 price difference. I was able to use the competing Toshiba at a retailer, but when I went to Amazon I found this HP. Cheap ipad Not just hype

IPad Tablet:I for one was excited when the announcement came out about the iPad. Unlike friends and colleagues, I looked past the funny name and lack of camera and saw something big coming. Once I had the device in my hand I knew it was a winner – could anyone doubt Apple? Sure there are some missing pieces, but this is the beginning of something really great. I can not remember the last time I was enthused about technology. Now I am addicted. I carry my iPad back and forth to work, to meetings, and I am prone to checking the iTunes store for new apps every few hours. Its like Christmas almost every day.
